IRCTC, since its inception in 1999, has been striving to make its impact in the Hospitality, Travel and Tourism verticals and coming up as a One Stop Shop Solution for its end users. With more than 75% of the travellers now booking their rail journey tickets from its online ticketing portal, IRCTC is adding a new feather to its ever-evolving role of a Travel facilitator. IRCTC announced the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSTRC) to enable MSRTC's online bus booking services via IRCTC's bus booking portal/website.

MSRTC will provide API's of its online bus ticketing system to IRCTC who in turn will Integrate MSRTC Bus Ticketing APIs on its website and Mobile Apps. The Scope of work will be defined broadly in the agreement on mutually agreed terms. The detailed roles & responsibilities of IRCTC & MSRTC will be finalized for executing the above project in coordination by both parties. The Ceremony witnessed the exchange of MoU Folders between CMD/IRCTC and Principal Secretary/Transport in the August Presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister, Maharashtra - Shri Eknath Shinde.
