TEMPE, Ariz., January 26, 2022 - Insight Enterprises, an industry-recognized solutions integrator helping clients accelerate their digital journey, today announced that Amy Protexter, senior vice president of marketing, has been named to the board of directors of Women in Cloud, a community-led economic development organization dedicated to advancing gender equity in the technology industry.

Women in Cloud formally announced Protexter's appointment at this week's virtual #WICxAnnualSummit 2022. Protexter spoke today as part of a panel discussion on "Unlocking Leadership to Catalyze Equality," a candid conversation about accelerating workplace equality.

In her board role, Protexter joins a core team of advisors driving the not-for-profit organization's mission to generate $1 billion in net-new global economic access for women entrepreneurs by 2030 through partnerships with corporations, community leaders and policymakers. Women in Cloud is built on the core values of inclusion, collective action and economic access to help contribute to the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

"We are thrilled to include Amy Protexter on our board of directors. She has already been a valuable asset as both a board member and as someone who has invested in our work around brand influence, leadership and supplier diversity. With women leading the way in the enterprise, we have the power to create $1 billion in economic impact and avert an impending global crisis," said Chaitra Vedullapali, co-founder, Women in Cloud.

As Insight's primary brand builder, Protexter plays an influential thought-leader role educating the market on how Insight helps clients successfully envision, develop, securely deploy and manage modern IT solutions and business transformation at scale. Named by CRN in 2021 as a Power 60 Solution Provider, Protexter is a champion of diversity and developing women leaders in technology. She also serves as editor-in-chief of Insight's quarterly digital magazine, Tech Journal.

"I'm ready to add my voice to Women in Cloud's mission to unlock greater economic access for women," said Protexter. "My goal will be to help build a compelling, differentiated brand for Women in Cloud by harnessing the collective power of women leaders across the technology industry, the halls where policy is made and the entrepreneurial organizations emerging to address the challenges of today."

Insight serves as a key partner of Women in Cloud, supporting the #WICxFortune100 Initiative, a turnkey program for industry-leading corporations to create access for women in technology through representation, recruitment and relationship building. An industry leader in gender diversity, Insight is committed to developing the next generation of women innovators in the field of cloud and edge-based computing.
