Intron Technology and Horizon Robotics unveil first jointly developed intelligent automotive solutions at Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition 2021.04.20

(20 April 2021, Hong Kong) - Intron Technology Holdings Limited ('Intron Technology' or the 'Group'; HKEX: 1760), a fast-growing automotive electronics solutions provider in China, and Horizon Robotics, a global leader of edge Artificial Intelligence chip, together took part in the 19th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition starting on 19 April 2021, where they unveiled a number of jointly developed intelligent automotive electronics products and solutions. This is an exemplary successful showcase of the Group's proprietary technologies in automotive-grade mass production application in the development on intelligent vehicle, intelligent network connections on IoT and automated driving. The product and solutions released has attracted much attention from industry experts and guests from home and abroad.

Since the joint announcement on strategic cooperation between Intron Technology and Horizon Robotics in 2020, both parties embarked on deeper cooperation elevating to joint R&D development in areas of products and technologies reaching 'Double Collaboration'. Leveraging each other's domestic R&D advantage and resources integration allows both parties to jointly develop intelligent driving solutions at faster and more efficient pace on a reliable and safe R&D platform for mass production. This has enabled the mass production readiness of intelligent driving solutions and application for AI-chips from Horizon Robotics.

The Group displayed 4 intelligent automotive products and solutions at Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition using Horizon's 'Journey' series chips, satisfying L1 to L4 automated driving requirements and covering products and solutions from ADAS to automated driving functions. In the area of automated driving domain controller, the solution released comprised using Horizon Matrix® Pilot 3 software which is co-developed by Intron Technology and Horizon Robotics, embedding three 'Journey® 3' chips and adopts Horizon's mass-producible AI-based compute vision solutions. This solution readily apply from L2 to L4 automated driving application scenarios, and provides software and hardware integrated solutions for mass production.
