IQ POWER AG iQ Power Licensing AG announces the start of production of two new JIS type battery sizes, known as N40 and N60 at the South Korean plant of iQ Power Asia.
These two battery types are two widely sold battery sizes for Japanese and Korean sub-compact vehicles. The product introduction required many new tools and many adjustments to the production line. After about 2 weeks of testing and adjustment in all areas, the production is now running smoothly.
The product line is important because it rounds out the typical product line-up expected for battery customers in countries where Japanese and Korean cars dominate the market. Therefore, their inclusion in the product program will greatly aid sales around the world.
In another two weeks, three further models will be added, which are important for the North American and European markets. By year’s end the product program will be expanded from 9 to 17 models.
