Jacobs Chief Digital and Information Officer Madhuri Andrews can now add CIO of the Year to her growing list of accolades.

D CEOmagazine and Dallas Innovates (a collaboration between D Magazine Partners and the Dallas Regional Chamber) awarded Madhuri with the honor as part ofThe Innovation Awardsprogram.

The awards in this program are bestowed upon outstanding leaders and entrepreneurs who're driving innovation among companies and organizations of various sizes in the North Texas region. Judges ranked finalists for The Innovation Awards recognition on the impact of their achievements in the past 12 months and how they stood out when compared to their peers.

Madhuri's selection as CIO of the Year was announced at a gala event on January 7, and she's prominently featured in the 2020 January-February edition of D CEO magazine.

As our Chief Digital and Information Officer, Madhuri joined the company during a significant portfolio transformation, after acquiring a major competitor (CH2M) valued at $3+ billion while also divesting our $3+ billion energy, chemicals and resources (ECR) business.

Both activities entailed massive organizational efforts impacting Jacobs' global operations and company resources. Thanks to Madhuri's information technology (IT) leadership, the company successfully navigated the various technological challenges associated with such largescale efforts and led the integration of more than 25,000 CH2M employees into the Jacobs digital community, while also allowing for the effective movement of more than 25,000 ECR employees to their new corporate enterprise.

Madhuri, however, was quick to point the credit back to the many people she is privileged to work with at Jacobs.

'I'm extremely proud of my team who were instrumental in enabling the company to navigate the various technological challenges associated with such large-scale efforts,' she said. 'I've had the privilege to hold a number of leadership positions at some terrific organizations, and along the way I've learned that the key to leadership is to realize that your success is dependent upon surrounding yourself with great teammates and colleagues. Great ideas can come from a wide variety of perspectives, so it's important to embrace and nurture a diverse team. It's also critical to build a culture where you welcome all ideas.'
