--JPMorgan Chase & Co. told its employees that the company will pay for their travel expenses to states that allow legal abortions, CNBC reports Friday, citing a company memo.

-- The New York-based bank, which is one of the largest employers in the U.S. financial industry, told its employees in the memo that it would expand its existing healthcare travel benefit to cover health care services that can only be obtained far from where employees live, CNBC says.

-- The bank also said additional covered benefits would be available in July under the U.S. medical plan, including "family building benefits, such as cryopreservation," and other benefits for LGBT+ workers, CNBC reports.

--This follows the Friday decision by the Supreme Court to eliminate the constitutional right to an abortion, overruling the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision and leaving the question of abortion's legality to the states.

--Company representatives didn't immediately return requests for comment from Dow Jones Newswires.
