A Serum to Condition the Skin to a Clear, Moist Texture while Concealing Pores-for Modern Women with Busy Lives
On February 13, 2021, Kao Corporation (Yoshihiro Hasebe, President) will be releasing SOFINA iP INTERLINK SERUM Pore Refining Moisture, a serum that conditions the skin to a clear moist texture while concealing pores. The formulation is ideal for women concerned about visible pores on the nose and cheeks. A single item will be released in two editions, with no recommended retail price.

The SOFINA iP brand was developed for women living busy lives. The core SOFINA iP users are women in their thirties and forties who are drawn to two brand features: complete skincare with just two serums based on the 'Double Serum System'*1 and the digital skincare consulting service 'Hada id' offered on LINE, the Japanese messaging app. BASE CARE SERUM, the mainstay product in the SOFINA iP lineup, has outsold every other serum on the market for four years in a row.*2
According to a Kao survey on skin concerns conducted in 2019, two out of five of the women in the SOFINA iP target segment -thirty- and forty-something women who lead modern, time-pressed lives- are concerned about visible pores. Surprisingly, visible pores are a more pressing concern for these women than dry skin or a lack of firmness. INTERLINK SERUM, a serum that conditions the skin to a clear, moist texture while concealing pores, answers the needs of women concerned about pores on cheeks and nose.
The release will expand the INTERLINK SERUM lineup of SOFINA iP to six different formulations, each delivering a targeted effect for different skin types and concerns. The lineup supports busy women who want to maintain consistently beautiful skin beauty by providing effective and efficient beauty care.

SOFINA iP INTERLINK SERUM Pore Refining Moisture, is a non-sticky serum that conditions the skin to a clear, moist texture while concealing pores. The serum is formulated by the 'Pore Microcapsule Method,' a technique to deliver concentrated moisturizing beauty ingredients in pore-sized microcapsules to the deepest layer of the stratum corneum. The deep-layer, nourishing treatment provides an ideal balance between moisture and oil in the skin.
