Within this scope, Karsan partnered with Damera Corp., the leading bus supplier and maintenance services provider in Canada. With the agreement, Damera Bus Sales Canada Corporation, a subsidiary of Mississauga Bus Group of Companies, a long-established company in the region, started to sell Karsan products and provide after-sales services with its widespread network as Karsan's distributor in Canada. Karsan's CEO Okan Baş said the following about the partnership, "We continue our global partnerships in North America with Canada in line with our corporate strategy. In this context, we signed a distributorship agreement with Damera. Right on the back of it, in August, we delivered our e-JEST buses, which we had showcased at ACT, the leading transportation technologies fair in the USA, to Damera. e-JEST is currently touring North America drawing great interest from potential customers. We also delivered our Autonomous e-ATAK bus, another member of our electric product family, to Michigan State University in the US to serve in its campus. Autonomous e-ATAK is expected to work as a full-time shuttle service carrying students, lecturers and other staff to and from the campus. With the introduction of the Karsan e-JEST buses, we aim to have our electrical product range make a true impact in the North American market in the coming period, and we continue our work at full speed."

As part of the partnership, Damera, a subsidiary of Mississauga Bus Group of Companies, an experienced bus and transportation organization, has become Karsan's authorized distributor in Canada. Boasting a widespread network in Canada with its expert personnel, Damera started to sell Karsan products and provide after-sales services.

In the past weeks, the first test drives were held with the students and we got very positive reactions. About Karsan:

Celebrating its 55th anniversary this year in the Turkish automotive industry, Karsan has been manufacturing its own vehicles at its modern facilities as well as parts for the world's prominent brands in the commercial vehicles industry. The company has been engaged in commercial vehicle production since 1981, and its factory in Hasanağa in Bursa has the capacity to manufacture up to 19,870 vehicles a year on a single shift.
