Kinepolis Group NV (ENXTBR:KIN) entered into an agreement to acquire NH Bioscopen from Frits Family and Irma Nieuwenhuizen for an enterprise value of €27.5 million on December 26, 2017. The transaction also includes a new build project in Haarlem, Netherlands. The NH cinema in Texel is not included in the transaction. The deal is expected to close on January 1, 2018. Jan Peeters, Sophie Zwartkruis-Bakker and Chaggai Kon of Stibbe acted as legal advisor to Kinepolis Group NV. EY acted as an accountant to Kinepolis Group.
Kinepolis Group NV (ENXTBR:KIN) completed the acquisition of NH Bioscopen from Frits Family and Irma Nieuwenhuizen on January 1, 2018. The transaction has an enterprise value of €27.5 million, including the acquisition of the debts.
Kinepolis Group NV specializes in operating multiplex movie theaters. The activity is organized around 3 areas:
- operation of cinema multiplexes: sale of tickets, confectionery, and beverages, sale of advertising space, event organization, etc. At the end of 2023, the group has a network of 109 cinemas in Belgium (11), Canada (36), the Netherlands (19), France (18), the United States (10), Spain (10), Luxembourg (3), in Switzerland and Poland;
- leasing of commercial spaces: restaurants, outlets, etc.;
- other: cinematographic distribution and production, and technical services (primarily technical assistance and projector maintenance; Decatron).
