Kokusai Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. (TSE:9274) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 400,000 shares, representing 0.55% of the outstanding shares for ¥148 million. The purpose of the program is to strengthen shareholder returns and to enhance capital efficiency. The program will run until June 30, 2020. As of May 14, 2020, the company had 72,148,541 shares outstanding and 2,928,865 shares in treasury.
