Tokyo (March 24, 2021) - Today the Nikkei ran an article under the headline 'Container Shortage to Weigh on Performance,' citing the profit during the third quarter for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2021, of Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta).
On February 2, 2021, in the announcement of its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2021, Konica Minolta disclosed the business impact of the port congestion in the U.S. during the third quarter. In consideration of the impact of the logistics and issues in the ports, the company reiterates that it has been taking all possible measures to address the issues, such as early booking of vessel space and additional destinations for transportation from China and Asia.
