Konoike develops its Sustainability Basic Policy and Establishes

a Sustainability Committee

A Move to Strengthen its Sustainability Management Structure and Contribute to the

Resolution of Social Issues Through Business Activities

Konoike Transport Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan, Representative Director,

Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer: Tadahiko Konoike; hereinafter "Konoike Transport") developed its Sustainability Basic Policy at the meeting of the Board of Directors held on November 19, 2021, and also made the decision to establish a Sustainability Committee.

The Corporate Philosophy and mission shared by Konoike Transport and the KONOIKE Group is "We pursue innovation at the foundations of our society that creates unique value, driven by respect for humanity and relationships of trust." Since our establishment more than 140 years ago, we have been carrying out our business activities based on this corporate philosophy, continuing to grow to date while gaining the trust and patronage of the various stakeholders surrounding Konoike Transport, including clients, employees, shareholders, and regional communities.

This Sustainability Basic Policy was established as the Group's guiding principles for the more concrete promotion of responding to sustainability-related challenges, which are growing larger as social issues, and contributing to the achievement of multifaceted SDGs targets while keeping in accord with the Group's past record of activities based on the Corporate Philosophy. What is more, to drive concrete business activities that are based on this Basic Policy, Konoike Transport has reorganized the Integration Committee, which had been engaged in promoting the development, construction, and operation of a management structure for past business activities, establishing the Sustainability Committee as an advisory body under the Board of Directors.

The Chair of this Committee is Tetsuro Takeshima, Representative Director and Managing Executive Officer and Chief Administrative Officer / In charge of ESG. The Committee will deliberate on and make recommendations on the following matters in response to consultations from the Board of Directors.

    3. Matters related to risk control
    4. Matters related to information security management
    5. Matters related to compliance

    9. Other sustainability related matters
