The standards for applying infant mileage deduction when using a SKYPASS award ticket will change. Please see below for details.

Application of infant mileage deduction

  • Before change: If an infant is less than 24 months of age on the first boarding date, the infant does not occupy a seat for the entire trip and the infant mileage deduction applies
  • After change: Mileage deduction applies based on the boarding date for each segment on the itinerary
     In other words, if an infant is less than 24 months of age on the boarding date, the infant will not occupy a seat and the infant mileage deduction will apply. However, if the child is more than 24 months of age on the boarding date, the child will occupy a seat for the relevant section and the adult mileage deduction will apply.
  • Effective date: As of December 1, 2017 (based on the date of ticket issuance)
