KOSE Corp. reported consolidated earnings results for the six months ended September 30, 2016. For the period, the company reported net sales of ¥125,788 million against ¥115,407 million a year ago. Operating income was ¥18,698 million against ¥18,045 million a year ago. Ordinary income was ¥17,594 million compared to ¥18,691 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was ¥10,070 million or ¥176.53 per share against ¥10,951 million or ¥191.98 per share a year ago. Profit before income taxes was ¥17,623 million against ¥18,682 million a year ago.
The company provided consolidated earnings guidance for the full year ending March 31, 2017. For the year, the company expects net sales of ¥256,000 million, operating income of ¥37,000 million, ordinary income of ¥36,300 million and profit attributable to owners of ¥20,900 million or ¥366.38 per share.
KOSE Corporation is a Japan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of cosmetic products. The Company operates in two business segments. Make-up segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of products under the brands of KOSE, Sekkisei, ESPRIQUE, COSME DECORTE, Predia, INFINITY, JILLSTUART, ADDICTION, CLIE, ALBION, tarte, among others. Cosmetry segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of products under the brands of Visee, Fasio, ELSIA, softymo, SUNCUT, CLEAR TURN, Stephen Knoll New York, Nature & Co, among others. The Company is also involved in the manufacture and sale of amenity products, the leasing of real estate properties, the manufacture and export of materials, as well as the original equipment manufacturing (OEM) business.
