On February 3, a Russian-Italian delegation led by Italian Ambassador to Russia Giorgio Starace paid a working visit to KuibyshevAzot PJSC. The delegation also included representatives of the Administration of the Governor and the Government of the Samara region.

During the sightseeing tour, CEO of KuibyshevAzot PJSC Aleksandr Gerasimenko acquainted the guests of the Company with the facility and implementation of investment projects. One of such projects is a modern urea production the construction of which was started in 2017 as part of a joint venture with the Italian company Marie Tecnimont. The start-up is scheduled for the second half of 2022, and the investments of the participants amount to 19 billion rubles.

The participants of the Russian-Italian delegation had the opportunity to evaluate the high level of development of the chemical production site, get acquainted with the production under construction and high technologies that are implemented at KuibyshevAzot PJSC.

After the factory tour and getting acquainted with the projects, the Italian delegation held a working meeting with the management of the Сompany, where they discussed a wide range of matters related to the development of Russian-Italian relations, as well as interaction between the Togliatti company and Italian companies in different directions. Today, such Italian companies as Marie Tecnimont and Desmet Ballestra and others are among the key partners of KuibyshevAzot PJSC.

Togliatti is historically connected with Italy, and has always been associated with this beautiful country. One of the first technologies that appeared in the industry of our city in the 1960s came from Italy and were implemented with the support of Italian specialists. Today, KuibyshevAzot PJSC is actively working with top Italian companies - leaders in technology and engineering in the chemical industry, expanding cooperation in a number of areas. We are confident that such meetings at such a high level emphasize the seriousness of the intentions of each of the parties and contribute to the effective implementation of joint projects.

A number of Russian-Italian projects are being implemented in the Samara region we closely follow their fate and assist in their development. And today's visit to KuibyshevAzot PJSC once again convinced us that visiting industrial enterprises of the real economy increases the efficiency of cooperation development between our countries.
