Kunimine Industries Co. Ltd. (TSE:5388) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 220,000 shares, representing 1,64% of the outstanding shares, at ¥590 per share for ¥129.8 million. Shares will be repurchased in the Tokyo Stock Exchange Off-Auction Own Share Repurchase Trading (ToSTNeT-3). The purpose of the program is to enable the implementation of a flexible capital policy in response to changes in the business environment. As of November 30, 2016, the company had 13,388,423 shares outstanding and 1,061,577 shares in treasury.
KUNIMINE INDUSTRIES CO., LTD is a Japan-based company engaged in the raw mineral business. The Company operates in three business segments. The Bentonite segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of litter for civil engineering and construction, castings and pets, the purchase, sale and transportation of mud conditioning formulation and others. The Agriculture segment is engaged in the processing of agricultural chemicals, the manufacture, processing, sale and transportation of raw materials for agricultural base and processing products, agricultural materials, soil conditioners, and purified bentonite for pesticide applications.
