We recently became a Champion sponsor of Open Field's Future Forward Soccer League. Open Field is a Pittsburgh-based youth non-profit organization that uses soccer and enrichment workshops to promote post-secondary education success.
John Kasel, President & CEO of L.B. L.B. Foster is sponsoring Open Field's Spring league, which is eight weeks total running through June 8,2024, and consists of 80 youth with six boys' teams and three girls' teams. Throughout the league, each week will have a different theme connected to post-secondary success. The final day will culminate with a college and career fair alongside soccer games. Activities like college visits and soccer tournaments will continue throughout the year.
On Saturday, May 4, 2024, every participant in the league received L.B. Foster branded jerseys including shirts, shorts, and socks fostering a sense of community. During the event, there was a workshop with a personality quiz and discussion linking the results to career options.
We are excited to continue to support the organization and their mission of improving the lives of youth through sport and building skills for a successful future.
