Her Professional Qualification in Accountancy from Institute of Chartered Accountants, England & Wales. Her Professional Qualification in Accountancy Malaysian Institute of Accountants as member since 1984. Working experience and occupation: Ms. Yip was a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England & Wales in 1981, and currently she is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (since 1984).
Upon her return from England in 1982, she joined Price Waterhouse Tax Services Sdn Bhd followed by 16 years as Director of the Institute of Bankers Malaysia (IBBM). In 1986, she was invited by Pemodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) to be their nominee director on the board of some companies in PNBs portfolio, such as Sitt Tatt Berhad, NCB Holdings Berhad, Kontena Nasional Bhd. Upon her retirement from IBBM 20 years ago, she continued to serve as director of companies covering financial institutions, public listed and private companies.
Recently she retired from some, having served the maximum term of 9 years as stipulated by Bank Negara and the KLSE. Currently, she is an Independent Non-Executive director of Carimin Petroleum Berhad, Perlis Plantation Berhad and the Professional Golf of Malaysia. In most of these boards, she has been appointed to chair the Audit Committee.
