Laox CO., LTD. (TSE:8202) signed an agreement to acquire Kowa Sogyo Co., Ltd. from four individuals and other shareholders on September 22, 2017. Under the terms of the transaction, Laox CO., LTD. will acquire 0.014 million shares of Kowa Sogyo Co., Ltd. For the year ended December 31, 2016, Kowa Sogyo Co., Ltd. reported total assets of ¥1.3 billion, net assets of ¥397 million, sales of ¥59 million, and operating profit of ¥13 million. The transaction was approved by the board of directors of Laox CO., LTD. The transaction is expected to close on October 6, 2017.
