Negotiations with potential buyers of the bankrupt Danish auction house Lauritz.com continue, although it has not yet been possible to reach a final agreement. This was announced by Henrik Selchau Poulsen, bankruptcy attorney and partner at Bruun og Hjejle. According to Poulsen, an agreement could be reached with a buyer by the end of this week.

Lauritz.com went bankrupt on 11 July 2023. According to the bankruptcy law, the liquidator has 14 days from the date of bankruptcy to decide whether the workforce is still needed or whether they should be fired. This, however, needs to be done within the deadline, which has now been extended.

Lars Kiertzner, an authorized accountant and a former head consultant in the CSF Danske Accountants, says that the company's employees can prove to be of crucial importance to a buyer.
