PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Christine Beliveau, a prominent forensic accountant with experience at major accounting firms, and work in sectors including technology, health care, manufacturing and professional services, will join international consulting firm LECG (Nasdaq: XPRT) as a managing director in the firm's San Francisco office.

Ms. Beliveau has extensive experience dealing with a wide variety of critical accounting matters, including major forensic investigations of Fortune 500 companies in the United States and abroad. She also has helped companies deal with post-investigation fallout, including restatement of financial statements and responding to class actions from shareholders.

A snapshot of Ms. Beliveau's recent work includes:

    --  Providing a Fortune 500 company with technical accounting expertise on
        the restatement of the translation of its foreign subsidiaries'
        financial statements, later directing the implementation of the
        functional currency changes at the company's foreign subsidiaries.
    --  Leading the review of revenue recognition practices for a Fortune 500
        company, resulting in the identification of accounting errors that
        required a restatement of three years of financial statements. She also
        assisted the company in quantifying the impact of the correction of
        errors.
    --  Leading the internal investigation of a Fortune 500 healthcare company
        due to whistleblower allegations made to the SEC.
    --  Performing an investigation at the Japanese subsidiary of a Fortune 10
        company concerning alleged fraud and misconduct that resulted in a
        restatement, working hand-in-hand with the company's internal audit
        group and counsel.

In addition, Ms. Beliveau has experience in due diligence consulting, internal audit, assessments of internal control policies and aiding companies through complex accounting issues often related to restatements.
