The Company’s operates in six reportable segments as follows: Property insurance contracts, with the main peril being fire, accidental damage and other allied perils resulting there from; Motor insurance products which provide coverage against losses and liability related to motor vehicles, excluding transport insurance; Engineering includes long term erection all risks (EAR) and contractor all risk (CAR) policies and annual policies for machinery break down (MBD), machinery all risk, electronic data processing, business interruption in conjunction with MBD; Medical products which provide health care cover to policyholders; Marine insurance for loss or damage to marine craft and accidents resulting in the total or partial loss of cargoes; Group Life insurance which provides life insurance to groups of policyholders; and Others include mainly general accident.
