Podcast publisher Day and Night Media is going to offer programmatic audio advertising in the sixty titles it operates and to this end is entering into a partnership with Targetspot, a specialized division of Azerion.

The companies announced this news yesterday afternoon at Emerce' in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam.

Advertisers can contact , in the Netherlands and Belgium, to purchase advertising space for podcasts. Which ones these are is secondary to programmatic advertising. The advertiser does not purchase from a title, but on the basis of variables that fit a title or audience groups. These include age, type of podcast or geography.

In the first phase, explains Martijn Gerrits of Azerion, one pre-roll position is available with all podcasts from the network. That may later increase to two. "In Belgium we also do post-roll," advertising at the end of the podcast "because otherwise we are largely sold out there."

The cost: from fifteen euros CPM (= one thousand "impressions").

Creators who have principled objections to hearing certain types of advertisers join their work can have them excluded.

Day and Night Media says it has 7.5 million monthly listenings to its more than sixty podcasts.

Flip Kylian Adams:" Since 2019, we have worked with more than three hundred advertisers. They get KPIs like reach, listenout percentage, and frequency cap."

Targetspot recently signed a large agency that will distribute podcast advertising through Day and Night titles for a ton and a half.

The European podcast advertising market would have carried some two hundred million euros by 2022.
