Mah Sing Group Berhad appointed Dato' Voon Tin Yow as Group Chief Executive Officer, age: 66, effective from February 02, 2024. Qualifications: Masters - Master of Science in Engineering - The University of Texas at Austin. Degree - Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering - The University of Texas at Austin.

Working experience and occupation: Dato' Voon Tin Yow has 40 years of working experience in the construction and property development industry, which includes 3 years in construction site management and 37 years in management of property development. He began his career in 1984 in Kimali Construction Sdn Bhd as a site engineer and went on to become the development engineer in Juru Bena Tenaga Sdn Bhd in 1986. In 1990, he joined Syarikat Kemajuan Jerai Sdn Bhd as Project Manager and was subsequently appointed as the General Manager in 1994.

He was previously an Executive Director ("ED") at S P Setia Berhad and held the post of Chief Operating Officer from 1996 to 2014, during which he also acted as the Acting President and Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") from May 01, 2014 until December 31, 2014.During his tenure in S P Setia, he oversaw the development of the entire ecosystem to establish the company's policies and procedures. On the international scene, Dato' Voon also oversaw S P Setias successful ventures into Vietnam, Australia, Singapore, United Kingdom and China. He played a key role in leading the Malaysian consortium comprising S P Setia and Rimbunan Hijau Group to jointly develop the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park in the People's Republic of China, a government-to-government-backed project with notable Chinese partners.

Dato' Voon joined Eco World Development Group Berhad in 2015 as an ED. He was also a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Eco World International Berhad since 2017. He resigned from the board of both companies in February 2020.Dato' Voon was appointed as the CEO of IOI Properties Group Berhad on 15.04.2020.

He was responsible for the overall management of IOI Properties Group's business in its various business segments of Property Development, Property Investment as well as Hospitality and Leisure; and took the helm in executing strategies that deliver sustainable growth for the Group. He retired from IOI Properties Group Berhad on 1 July 2023. As Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Mah Sing Group Berhad, he shall oversee the operation of the Property business and report directly to the Founder and Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Leong Hoy Kum.
