Malakoff : Launches EDGILE – A Digitalised Interactive Learning Platform

On 1st December 2022, Malakoff Corporation Berhad ("Malakoff") officially launched EDGILE, a Learning Management System ("LMS") that integrates Malakoff's learning strategy with interactive training courses, providing #TeamMalakoffwith continuous learning opportunities and development. This project was initiated by the People Division and aligned with Pillar 3 under the People Transformation Framework which emphasises on the strengthening and building of Group's organisational capabilities. It is aimed at improving #TeamMalakoff's core and leadership competency level to meet specific function, processes and management requirement.

The hybrid event was held at Malakoff Academy of Excellence ("MAX") and was attended by Malakoff's Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer ("MD/CEO") Encik Anwar Syahrin bin Abdul Ajib, the Head of People Division Encik Raja Iskandar bin Raja Mukhtaruddin, members of the Senior Management team and the rest of #TeamMalakoffbased at HQ. The event was also broadcasted LIVE to all the power plants.

Focusing on online learning delivery, EDGILE is accessible through various devices with more than 700 online courses covering a wide range of topics related to leadership and management, soft skills, team and interpersonal skills, business improvement, quality management and other individual development areas. Additionally, it provides blended learning and virtual classrooms to promote engagement and discussions between participants. Courses pivoted on core, leadership and other competencies will also be incorporated in stages for the targeted groups within the company to mould the next generation of leaders of Malakoff.

We can no longer be complacent and purely rely on our collective experience and ingrained skills to bring Malakoff to greater heights. We must continually adapt to the latest trends in the industry and improve ourselves to ensure we don't become irrelevant. I truly believe that EDGILE has the capacity to broaden our horizon to venture into new territories as it provides an on-demand learning platform that is accessible through all devices. This eliminates the formal process of attending courses physically, which results in a more efficient and competent way of learning. All these efforts are attributed to the core team behind it including all 16 of the LMS ambassadors who poured their heart and soul into materialising this idea", said Encik Anwar Syahrin during his officiating speech.

The event proceeded with a prize giving ceremony to the winning team with the best tagline for the project ("Education for Life, Journey to Excellence") and a certification of appreciation to the core committee members and LMS ambassadors by Encik Anwar Syahrin and Encik Raja Iskandar.

This project is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal No. 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth that promotes sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment as well as decent work for all. This initiative will be crucial in enhancing workforce productivity with key focus on high value learning and development.
