Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad announced the appointment of Mr. Chris Chia Woon Liat, aged 51 as Independent and Non Executive Director of the company with effect from March 11, 2024. Qualifications: Master of Liberal Arts from Harvard University, Master of Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management, Master of Accounting from University of Western Australia, Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from University of Western Australia, Bachelor of Commerce from University of Western Australia. Working experience and occupation: Mr. Chris Chia Woon Liat is the founder and Managing Partner of Kendall Court Capital Partners Ltd. (Kendall Court), an investment partnership that focuses on alternative financing primarily in the Southeast Asian region and across Asia Pacific, managing and investing in several funds amounting to approximately USD 1.5 billion.

Prior to founding Kendall Court, he was an investment banker with Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte Ltd. and Citigroup Global Markets (Investment Banking) from 1998 to 2000 and 2000 to 2004, respectively, where he was responsible for investment banking activities for clients across Southeast Asia. At Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte Ltd, he was actively involved in all phases of origination, management and execution of M&A transactions including comprehensive financial modelling. At Citigroup Global Markets (Investment Banking), he was responsible for all aspects of deal origination and management as well as execution of general corporate finance transactions.

He was attached to Authur Andersen (Business Consulting) Sdn Bhd as business consultant from 1995 to 1996. At present, Mr. Chris Chia Woon Liat holds board positions at Bangkok Bank Berhad and Low Keng Huat (Singapore) Limited, an SGX-listed real estate company. Other than the above, he is a board member of the MIT Sloan Asian Executive Board and Penjana Kapital Sdn Bhd, Member of the Investment Panel (SEEDS Capital) for Enterprise Singapore, and Advisor (Investments) to Druk Holdings & Investments, the sovereign investment arm of the Government of Bhutan.

In addition, he is also a member of the Investment Panel for Enterprise Singapore.
