Matco Foods Limited reported unaudited unconsolidated and consolidated earnings results for the quarter ended September 30, 2018. For the quarter, on unconsolidated basis, the company reported net sales of PKR 1,815,643,000 against PKR 1,331,588,000 a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 110,589,000 against PKR 121,117,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was PKR 50,563,000 against PKR 56,351,000 a year ago. Earnings per basic share was PKR 0.43 against PKR 0.48 a year ago.
For the quarter, on consolidated basis, the company reported net sales of PKR 1,817,584,000 against PKR 1,333,983,000 a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 110,862,000 against PKR 121,806,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was PKR 50,788,000 against PKR 56,897,000 a year ago. Earnings per basic share was PKR 0.44 against PKR 0.49 a year ago.
Matco Foods Limited is a Pakistan-based agricultural-processor and food products company. The Company provides packaged goods and ingredients to the pharmaceuticals and confectionery industries. Its segments are rice and allied products, and corn starch products. The Companyâs products include predominantly basmati rice, rice glucose, rice protein, rice maltodextrin, Himalayan pink salt, and other gourmet salts, spices, dessert mixes among other. The Company has a portfolio of more than 150 corporate customers. Its flagship brand, Falak, offers rice, condiments, and spices, and is available in more than 65 countries worldwide. The Company also exports private-label brands to over 65 countries across the globe. The Company operates two rice syrup plants, and five rice processing and milling plants, which include vertically integrated paddy drying, storage, husking, and processing facilities in Sadhoke, Punjab, and Karachi, Sindh.
