McAfee, Inc. : McAfee Names New Worldwide Chief Technology Officer

Recognized Industry Visionary Stuart McClure to Work With Leadership Team on Next Generation Technology Solutions

SANTA CLARA, Calif. & RESTON, Va. - December 6, 2011 - McAfee today announced that Stuart McClure has been named worldwide chief technology officer, effective immediately. The Office of the CTO works closely with senior leaders at McAfee to ensure strong collaboration on customer requirements, knowledge sharing, strategy, development efforts, research, and patents.

Prior to being named chief technology officer, McClure served as senior vice president and general manager of the Risk and Compliance business unit at McAfee, and as senior vice president of global threats and research at McAfee Labs. He joined McAfee in 2004 through the acquisition of Foundstone, which he co-founded, and where he served as president and CTO. Additional executive and technical leadership positions include Kaiser Permanente, Ernst & Young, and IDG.

McClure is one of the industry's leading authorities and security visionaries, traveling the globe and demonstrating how hackers work. His best-selling book, "Hacking Exposed: Network Security Secrets & Solutions" has been published in six editions, has been translated into more than 30 languages and has sold more than 600,000 copies.
