Slate Asset Management decides against making an offer to UK's McKay Securities

(Reuters) - Canada-based Slate Asset Management said on Tuesday it does not plan to make an offer to buy Britain's McKay Securities, weeks after the private investment group hinted it was considering a proposal for the commercial property firm.

McKay said last month Slate had verbally indicated it was considering an all-cash proposal for the London-listed property group after McKay agreed to a 272 million pound ($354.5 million) takeover deal with office-space provider Workspace.
