ME Group International PLC, a London-based manufacturer and operator of photobooth and amusement machines previously known as Photo-Me International PLC, lifted its sales and earnings for the first half of 2023 compared to the prior year period, according to a press release. Highlights include:

  • Revenue rose 24.7% from 115.3 million pounds ($159.7 million) for HY 2022 to 143.8 million pounds ($186.71 million) in the six months ending April 30, 2023.
  • Photo.ME photobooth and integrated biometric identification solutions revenue rose 25.4% to 83.9 million pounds ($108.93 million) in the comparative periods.
  • Print.ME digital printing kiosk revenue rose 11.5% to 5.8 million pounds ($7.53million) with 183 new kiosks deployed in France.
  • Food.ME food vending equipment revenue rose 106.5% from 3.1 million pounds ($5.02 million) to 6.4 million pounds ($8.31 million).
  • On a regional basis, Continental Europe revenue rose from 75.6 million pounds ($98.16 million) to 93.4 million pounds ($121.27 million); U.K. and Ireland revenue rose from 19.9 million pounds ($25.84 million) to 26.2 million pounds ($34.02 million), and Asia Pacific revenue rose from 19.8 million pounds ($25.71 million) to 24.2 million pounds ($31.42 million).
  • After tax profit rose 24.4% from 16.4 million pounds ($21.29 million) to 20.4 million pounds ($26.49 million) in the comparative periods.
  • Earnings per diluted share rose 22.8% from 4.35 pence (6 cents) to 5.34 pence (7 cents).

The board declared an interim dividend of 2.97 pence (4 cents) per ordinary share to be paid Nov. 23 to shareholders of record Nov. 3.

"The group has achieved an extremely strong first-half performance across its key business areas and in all of its 19 operating markets, which delivered significant growth in revenue, EBITDA and profit before tax in the period," Serge Crasnianski, CEO and deputy chairman, said in the press release.
