The board of directors of MECOM Power and Construction Limited announced that the installation of electric vehicle ("EV") charging-enabling infrastructure and network in the car park of Pak Lok Garden had been completed. Pak Lok Garden is a residential property project on Taipa Island, Macau and covers 133 parking spaces. The Group will enter into separate contracts with the owners' committee, landlords and/or tenants of the parking spaces for the provision of EV charging services. In addition, the Group entered into two EV charging contracts with landlords of 16 on-street parking spaces to provide EV charging service to the public in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, the People's Republic of China (the "PRC") in April 2021. Pursuant to the contracts aforementioned, the scope of work to be provided by the Group includes provision of design, supply, installation, operation and maintenance services for EV charger facilities. The contracts shall remain in effect for three to five years and the users will be charged based on their actual usage. As at the date of this announcement, the Group has secured EV charging projects for five residential properties, three of which are in Guangdong Province, the PRC and two are in Macau, covering around 3,340 private and public parking spaces in total.
