Mercedes-Benz Group said Wednesday that it has made some changes in the boards of its Mercedes-Benz Bank and Mercedes-Benz Mobility businesses, including an extension of Mercedes-Benz Bank's chairman Benedikt Schell.

Schell's contract will be extended by a further five years starting on June 1, 2024, the automaker said. Gero Goetzenberger will be elected to Mercedes-Benz Bank's board starting on Nov. 1 and will be in charge of finance and controlling. He will succeed Christina Schenck, who will take on a board-member role for finance, controlling and risk management at Mercedes-Benz Mobility on Sept. 1, the company said.
