　　On the morning of July 16, Guo Wenqing, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of China Minmetals, and concurrently Chairman of MCC, visited Tongzhou of Beijing for Universal Studios Beijing and met with Party Secretary Zeng Zanrong and Mayor Zhao Lei of Tongzhou District.

　　Guo Wenqing inspected Section 5 and Section 6 projects of Universal Studios Beijing undertaken by Shanghai Baoye Group and CRIBC respectively. He paid visits to the project site to check on the project planning and construction progress, listened to the report on the project construction, asked about the difficulties and problems existing in the project construction and had cordial talks with front-line construction personnel about their life and work.

　　Guo Wenqing fully affirmed the construction of the project. He said that the Universal Studios Beijing as a key construction project in Beijing, while coordinating regular pandemic prevention and control and project construction, overcame the adverse effects caused by the pandemic to the greatest extent and promoted the project construction with high standards, efficiency and quality. Such efforts have effectively ensured the completion within the construction period and the project quality, laying a solid foundation for the timely completion of the project and high-quality construction and fully embodying the excellent work style of the majority of management staff, employees and front-line builders and the development concept of pursuing excellence.

　　Guo Wenqing pointed out that a large number of young talented people are serving the construction of the Universal Studios Beijing project. While doing a good job in the project construction, every subsidiary should boldly train and appoint young management staff in all projects, so that they can achieve better development on the broad platforms of China Minmetals and MCC, and contribute their wisdom and talents to the development of enterprises with dedicated and earnest efforts. Meanwhile, internal enterprises under China Minmetals should strengthen close cooperation with brother enterprises, promote the in-depth development of the industrial chain through internal coordination and continuously drive the full-chain high-quality development of all business sectors including theme parks.

　　Later, Guo Wenqing went to the Tongzhou Grand Canal Forest Park for investigation, listened to the detailed introduction of Tongzhou's historical evolution and development plan by Liu Guiming, Deputy Mayor of Tongzhou District, and went to the Tongzhou District People's Government to have working talks with Party Secretary Zeng Zanrong and Mayor Zhao Lei of Tongzhou District on further strengthening government-enterprise cooperation.

　　Guo Wenqing thanked the CPC Tongzhou District Committee and Tongzhou District People's Government for their long-term support to China Minmetals and its subsidiaries in Beijing, and introduced the basic information of China Minmetals. He stated that China Minmetals is a metal mining corporation through the strategic restructuring of the former China Minmetals and MCC (two Fortune Global 500 enterprises). It is China's first state-owned capital investment company in the field of metal mining approved by the State Council, and one of the central enterprises with a complete set of financial licenses. MCC is the world's largest and most competitive metallurgical construction contractor and operation service provider, occupying 90% of China's and 60% of the world's metallurgical construction markets. With strong metallurgical construction and capital construction capabilities, it is also the only central enterprise in China to hold the theme park design and construction qualification.

According to Zeng, Tongzhou District is accelerating the implementation of the strategic plan to become a sub-center spatially supporting and functionally complementing Beijing, and striving to create a development pattern of 'one body, two wings', further undertaking the functions of the urban center and population evacuation. It continuously plays a demonstration and driving role in relieving non-capital functions, and contributes to form a vivid pattern of 'two parallel wings' with Beijing's sub-center and Xiong'an New Area, Hebei Province. Tongzhou District has vast development space and huge investment potential. It is hoped that China Minmetals and Tongzhou District will maintain good and close communication and further establish a long-term, stable, mutually beneficial and win-win comprehensive strategic cooperation relationship based on mutual trust and strength. China Minmetals are invited to show greater strength in the investment and construction of Tongzhou District, so as to achieve a higher level of win-win cooperation between the two sides.
