Shanghai Baoye Won the Bid for the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center Project - Phase V

　　On November 4, Shanghai Baoye won the bid for the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center Project - Phase V.

　　The Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center Project - Phase V covers an area of 20,900 m2, with a total construction area of 71,900 m2, including 52,000 m2 above ground and 19,900 m2 underground. The construction includes exhibition halls, conference areas, basements, etc. The main building has 2 floors aboveground (with five mezzanines), with a height of 23.95 m and the maximum single span of 47 m. The east side of the base is close to the main road around the island, and the west side is a narrow road called Gulou North Road. The north side is Huizhan North Road, and the south side is close to Lianqian East Road. The surrounding urban road network is mature, with convenient traffic conditions and good accessibility. According to the Draft Planning of Public Cultural Facilities in Xiamen (2020-2035) approved in May this year, Xiamen will be built into a benchmarking city of public cultural service system by 2035 and become an international cultural city with international influence, southern Fujian characteristics and open and diverse urban culture on "The Belt and Road". Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center is exactly one of the 15 cultural facility clusters established by Xiamen to achieve this goal.

　　This cooperation between Shanghai Baoye and Xiamen's conference and exhibition industry is of great significance for Xiamen to build a model city of conference and exhibition in China and a famous international conference and exhibition city, and also for achieving a new new highlight in the eastern city center of Xiamen. It will also help build a conference and exhibition industry ecosphere with balanced development inside and outside the island, greatly improve the internationalization, high-end orientation and specialization level of Xiamen's conference and exhibition industry, and vigorously promote the development of Xiamen's conference and exhibition tourism of RMB 100 billion scale.
