MicroPlanet Technology Corp. announced that Tom Van Horn, a member of MicroPlanet's board of directors since 2006, has accepted the position as CEO of a high-tech Internet startup company. As a result Mr. Vanhorn has concluded that he should resign from the board of MicroPlanet.

The company reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported sales of $65,198. Operating loss was $665,688 compared to $528,343 a year ago. Comprehensive loss was $154,185 compared to $527,787 a year ago. Basic loss per share was $0.0012 against $0.0051 a year ago.

For the six moths, the company reported sales of $172,638 against $77,962 a year ago. Operating loss was $1,098,363 compared to $1,018,993 a year ago. Comprehensive loss was $110,430 compared to $256,918 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was $0.0008 against $0.0025 a year ago.
