Micropos Medical : Collaboration agreement with Johns Hopkins Medicine

Micropos Medical has today entered into a collaboration agreement with Johns Hopkins Medicine, JHM, in Baltimore, USA.

The agreement means that JHM will evaluate the company's product Raypilot® and conduct an in-depth study in Hypofractionation, so-called SBRT, for the treatment of prostate cancer together with the Micropos Raypilot System.

"The agreement is a very important part of our US launch, says the company's CEO Thomas Lindström. The fact that JHM is now conducting in-depth research into the treatment of prostate cancer together with our equipment is very honorable. At the same time, the study means that the hospital gains an in-depth knowledge of Raypilot. JHM has been treating patients with SBRT for some time but has not found a good method for real-time motion monitoring of the prostate. The work will focus on evaluating a reliable and easy-to-use method that can be routinely used in prostate cancer radiotherapy with the aim of reducing side effects.", Thomas continues.

The study with Raypilot will start in the middle of the first quarter of 2023.

Micropos Medical har idag ingått ett samarbetsavtal med Johns Hopkins Medicine, JHM, i Baltimore, USA.
Avtalet innebär att JHM skall utvärdera bolagets produkt Raypilot® samt göra en fördjupad studie i Hypofractionering, sk SBRT, för behandling av prostata cancer tillsammans med Micropos Raypilot System.
