Minera Frisco, S.A.B. de C.V. Announces Earnings and Production Results for the Second Quarter of 2018

Minera Frisco, S.A.B. de C.V. announced earnings and production results for the second quarter of 2018. For the quarter, the company reported processed tonnage decreased by 36%. Gold production reached 67,136 ounces. Silver production reached 1.8 million ounces. Production of copper concentrates was 6,081 tonnes. Lead production reached 4,263 tonnes. Zinc production reached 13,842 tonnes.
For the quarter, the company reported net sales recorded MXN 3,632 million. When comparing the second quarter of 2018 against the second quarter of 2017, sales decreased by 5%. This is mainly due to lower production. Operating income reached MXN 275 million. Negative financial result was MXN 2,301 million. Net loss was MXN 1,474 million.
Minera Frisco SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company engaged in the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources. The Companyâs main activities comprise the production and sale of lead-silver concentrates, zinc concentrates, copper concentrates, copper in cathode and gold and silver rods. The staged operations include the location, investigation and compilation of information in the prospective areas considered for possible existence of minerals; conducting detailed geological study in the prospective areas, and finally conducting exploration methods directly in the prospective areas as a result of the previous stages. The Company owns such subsidiaries as Minera CRA SA de CV, Minera CX SA de CV, Minera Tayahua SA de CV, Minera San Francisco del Oro, SA de CV, as well as Multiservicios de Exploracion Geologica Frisco, SA de CV, among others.
