Mirai Industry Co.,Ltd. (TSE:7931) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 1,110,000 shares, representing 6.17% of its share capital, for ¥3,624.15 million. The shares will be repurchased at a price of ¥3,265 per share.
The company will repurchase its shares in order to implement a flexible capital policy in response to changes in the business environment. As of September 20, 2023, the company had 18,002,807 shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) and 7,604,279 shares in treasury.
MIRAI INDUSTRY CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in electric and pipe materials business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Electric and Pipe Materials segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of electric wires, tubes and accessories, wiring boxes, resin tubes for water and hot water supply, and accessories, as well as the provision of flooring work. The Wiring Accessories segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of switches, sockets and others. The others business is engaged in the manufacture and sale of work saving equipment, molding dies and resin raw materials, the transportation business, the construction business, the telecommunication business, as well as the cable television (TV) business, among others.
