Notice of Trade Name Change For American Sub-Subsidiaries (Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas Inc. Subsidiaries)

The Company announced today that, at its meeting held on February 10, the Board of Directors of the Company approved the following name changes for subsidiaries of Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas Inc. (a subsidiary of the Company, based in Houston, Texas, hereinafter referred to as MLA), sub-subsidiaries of the Company, being implemented.

• 1. New trade name and scheduled date of change

  Effective April 1, 2021:

  •  Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (hereinafter referred to as MCFA) will change its trade name to Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas (Houston) Inc.

  •  UniCarriers Americas Corporation (hereinafter referred to as UCA) will change its trade name to Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas (Marengo) Inc.

• 2. Reasons for the change

The purpose of the MCFA and UCA trade name change is to create a sense of unity across the American business operation and to communicate to the market that they are a part of the Mitsubishi Logisnext group by adding the group's name to theirs.

As part of this change, MCFA will acquire all of the MCFA shares held by its minority stockholder, Caterpillar Industrial Inc., a Caterpillar Inc. subsidiary. This will make the MLA group, which consists of MLA and its subsidiaries such as MCFA and UCA, 100% fully-owned by the Company.

Caterpillar Inc. and the MLA group will continue their long-term strategic relationship, working together to deliver new products and solutions for customers. The Cat® branded lift trucks will continue to be distributed globally by the Mitsubishi Logisnext group.
