At a meeting of the Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui", Head Office: Tokyo, President & CEO: Masami Iijima) Board of Directors held on January 20, 2015 the Board resolved to appoint Masami Iijima to the position of Chairman and Director, effective April 1, 2015. Subsequently, at a meeting of the Board held today the Board has further resolved to appoint Masami Iijima as Representative Director and Chairman, effective April 1, 2015, with the aim of supporting the external activities of the President. There is no change to the present structure under which the President also serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
