Morgan Stanley Investment Management today announced that Steven Kreider has been named Portfolio Manager for the Morgan Stanley Global Opportunity Bond Fund, Inc. (NYSE: MGB). The Morgan Stanley Global Opportunity Bond Fund, Inc. is managed by the Taxable Fixed Income team of Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc. (the ?Investment Adviser?). As portfolio manager, Mr. Kreider will have primary responsibility for the day-to-day management and the execution of the overall strategy of the Fund's portfolio.

Mr. Kreider, who succeeds Gordon Loery as Portfolio Manager of the Fund, has been associated with the Investment Adviser in an investment management capacity since 1988 and joined the team that manages the Fund in May 2007.
