Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. signed a capital and business alliance agreement to acquire an additional 9.82% stake in Daiko Clearing Services Corporation from Nomura Holdings, Inc. for ¥1.9 billion.

Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (TSE:4307) signed a capital and business alliance agreement to acquire an additional 9.82% stake in Daiko Clearing Services Corporation (TSE:8692) from Nomura Holdings, Inc. (TSE:8604) for ¥1.9 billion on March 14, 2014. Under the terms of the deal, 2.5 million shares will be acquired for ¥745 per share. After the transaction, Nomura Research will increase the stake from 41.3% to 51.1% and Nomura Holdings will reduce the stake to 4.2% from 14.03%.

In another deal, Nomura Research Institute Ltd. agreed to sell 40% stake in Nippon Clearing Services Co., Ltd. on March 14, 2014. The transaction is expected to be completed by April 1, 2014.
