Henrik Priergaard, 48, has been appointed Nordea's new head of Group Human
Resources.

Henrik Priergaard has been in Nordea for 25 years, working within Treasury,
Asset Management & Life and Investment Management & Funds. Most recently, Henrik
Priergaard was head of Nordic Private Banking until May 2010 and is now head of
the Group CEO Office.

- We are very pleased that Henrik has accepted the position. He will combine
insights from a long and solid business career with the competencies in the HR
organisation. This is a great opportunity to speed up the implementation of our
strategically important HR plans, says Group CEO Christian Clausen.

Henrik Priergaard holds a Master's degree in economics from the University of
Copenhagen and succeeds Lars Häggström.
