The Acheson, Alberta-based company said it had profit of 43 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 64 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 70 cents per share.

The heavy construction and mining services company posted revenue of $239.7 million in the period, surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $229.3 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $46.8 million, or $1.55 per share. Revenue was reported as $709 million.
