OMV Petrom, the largest integrated energy company in South-Eastern Europe, supports the modernization of the Ploiesti County Emergency Hospital 'Dr. Constantin Andreoiu' with EUR 3 mn. It is the most important medical unit in Prahova County, being the only hospital in the region with units of plastic surgery, reconstructive micro-surgery and treatment of burn patients.

The 7 surgery rooms of the Ploiesti County Emergency Hospital 'Dr. Constantin Andreoiu' Operator Block, out of a total of 13, have recently been renovated and will be equipped, following the OMV Petrom sponsorship, with modern equipment. These include 4 operating tables, 5 complete lines of surgery, defibrillator, high-performance anesthesia machine, video assisted system for difficult intubations, air sterilizers, radiology machine and other medical equipment.

OMV Petrom has been consistently involved in important projects in the healthcare. The company supported with EUR 10 mn the D?ruie?te Via?? Association for the first oncological hospital for children in Romania. Also, OMV Petrom supported with EUR 1.5 mn the Blondie Association, in order to facilitate the transport of patients, especially children, with conditions that cannot be treated in our country. The company has also been involved in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting the Red Cross and frontline hospitals with EUR 1.4 mn. In total, in the last 5 years, OMV Petrom has supported the healthcare sector in Romania with more than EUR 16 mn.
