Interpipe developed new premium connection for oil companies in the USA
Interpipe, a global producer of steel pipes and railway products based in Ukraine, has designed, developed, tested the new premium T&C connection Intrepid-MT devised specially for oil companies in the USA and other North American countries.
Due to its high strength and tightness, Intrepid-MT can be used as part of casing strings when using in directional and horizontal oil&gas wells. The connection withstands the high load of the string rotational moment during cementing or running operations.
Intrepid-MT is certified for compliance with the international standard ISO 13679 CAL IV level (Connection Application Level).

- The Company keeps expanding its own line of threaded connections for oil&gas production. Several years ago we introduced the semi-premium Intrepid-SP to the market, and now we are presenting the premium Intrepid-MT to US customers, i.e. entering new market segments. The new connection is designed considering the peculiarities of North American geology for companies that develop complex fields.
About Intrepid:
USS Intrepid is an aircraft carrier built during World War II for the United States Navy. Commissioned in August 1943, she participated in several campaigns in the Pacific Theater of Operations, most notably the Battle of Leyte Gulf, was torpedoed once and hit by four separate Japanese kamikaze aircraft.
Then, she served mainly in the Atlantic, but also participated in the Vietnam War. Her notable achievements include being the recovery ship for a Mercury and a Gemini space mission.
