Orege announced the signature of a contract with a value of around $300,000 for the sale of an SLG(®)solution to the City of Gresham, Oregon. This first project with Orege began in April and should be finalised by this summer in collaboration with Brown & Caldwell, one of the leading engineering firms in the USA. The SLG(®) solution will be installed upstream of the belt filter presses on this 120.000 population equivalent wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and the objectives are: to produce drier dewatered sludge; to increase the dewatering capacity of the belt filter presses; to reduce the operational costs of the WWTP as well as the volume of sludge to be transported. The SLG(®) solution is a breakthrough technology that can reduce the overall costs of sludge treatment by improving sludge cake dryness, increasing the treatment capacity of existing dewatering equipment and decreasing polymer consumption. The project is anticipated to deliver a project return on investment of less than 4 years.
