Feb 8 (Reuters) - Finnish stainless steel maker Outokumpu reported fourth-quarter core earnings above expectations on Thursday, saying the European business saw some rebound after touching its lowest point in the third quarter.

The company's adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) fell 34.5% to 72 million euros ($77.6 million) in the October-December period, beating analysts' expectations of 55.3 million in a company-provided poll.
