- OVHcloud Public Cloud Portfolio Expands With Managed Rancher Service to Usher in the Era of MultiCloud and New OVHcloud Data Platform at KubeCon 2024
Roubaix - March 20th 2024 - OVHcloud, the European Cloud leader, today kicks off the KubeCon Europe 2024, announcing new additions to its growing Public Cloud portfolio of over 40 products and solutions that encompasses a total of 8 different services : security, compute, storage, database, network services, analytics, AI and quantum. The Group's public cloud offering is on a fast-paced growth trajectory, and today adds to its already impressive set of PaaS offerings by announcing the launch of OVHcloud Managed Rancher Service and a new Beta version of the OVHcloud Data Platform.
Acknowledging the new normal where Kubernetes nodes have become the de facto standard for modern workloads in many businesses and organisations, the need for their orchestration in a centralized and highly secure way has never been so important. OVHcloud Managed Rancher Service is a self-service, off-the-shelf solution, that answers this challenge allowing for easier management of Kubernetes clusters at scale. Based on Rancher, fully operated by OVHcloud and developed in close partnership with SUSE, it offers support for diverse cloud-native scenarios and leverages a fully open-source platform, true to the Group's values.

Available now in the Public Cloud universe as a Beta version, Rancher Managed Service allows for Multicloud and Hybrid Cloud scenarios, enabling management and orchestration of Kubernetes clusters regardless of their Cloud (Public Cloud, Private Cloud, On Premise, Third Party CSP, etc.) Customers benefit from a fully featured private Rancher deployment where users and management can be controlled through a single pane of glass UI with access to an extensible service catalog.

OVHcloud Data Platform now available as Beta version
The OVHcloud Data Platform is a new end-to-end data platform delivering a unique low code solution for management of the data pipeline and analytics. It provides customers with a complete and smooth experience for their data journey, through a user-friendly interface, offering the ability to collect (over 60 available connectors), store, manage, analyze, and visualize data.
Furthermore, the new solution also ensures that data is secure from unauthorized accesses and breaches while complying with laws and regulations. With the OVHcloud Data Platform, data scientists and business analysts can start new projects in just a few clicks by selecting information of interest in the Data Lakehouse. The solution is aimed at use cases like CRM enhancement or streamlined inventory management.
OVHcloud will release a new public Beta version in the weeks to come, following the high interest shown in the Alpha version. This new milestone will benefit from a new Storage Engine, leveraging state of the art open-source Data Lakehouse techniques using Apache Iceberg to format Object Storage and Apache Trino for requests to offer both high-performance and scalability.
Data protection and sustainability
OVHcloud Managed Rancher Service and OVHcloud Data Platform benefit from OVHcloud's well known expertise in infrastructure, offering a trusted Cloud in environmentally friendly datacenters. With the highest security and data protection standards in the form of ISO 27001 certification and HDS for select services, data is immune to extra-territorial laws. OVHcloud at KubeCon Europe 2024
OVHcloud is present at KubeCon Europe 2024, taking place in Paris, Porte de Versailles, from March 20th to 22nd. KubeCon Europe 2024 is home to Cloud native and open-source adopters as well as technologists. OVHcloud will greet Cloud Native enthusiasts on booth number E4 Pavilion 7, Hall 7.2.
