On October 11, 2022, Shipyard Capital LP and Cedar Creek Partners LLC sent a letter to the trustee of the Pacific Coast Oil Trust requesting that it file suit against PCEC, the trust's operator. Shipyard Capital and Cedar Creek Partners stated that if the trustee refuses, they intend to call a special meeting to remove the trustee.
